Wax on. Wax off.

I’m still polishing up this bad boy space shooter. I now have a fully functioning intro screen, as well as UI (User Interface) throughout the game. Special effects are really tying it all together and making it feel more like a legitimate game.

Unity is starting to feel a little more comfortable. I suppose that goes with anything in life where repetition and dedication are the key to improvement. Where to place things in the code in order to talk to each other is finally starting to make more sense. I’m sure that like with any language, enough learning and speaking it will make for more fluent communication.

We had an inspiring Friday session with Jonathan, our Game Dev chief. It’s very rewarding watching someone who really knows the ins and outs of a program, get busy and share some knowledge. That session was also a nice reminder that we have a tremendous opportunity here to learn and work with the best in the business.

Next up for me after doing the extras….I love doing extras, will be the framework sections. From what I hear, I this will be the first area where they let me venture out to sea so to speak. While I still feel a bit like a fledgling flapping in the water, I am also excited and a bit nervous, to venture out and see how well I can swim on my own.
